Mat Pilates

Mat Pilates is a low-impact exercise method focused on improving core strength, flexibility, and overall body alignment. Using controlled movements and your own body weight, it helps build strength, enhance posture, and support a balanced, healthy body. Suitable for all fitness levels, it’s an excellent way to improve both physical and mental well-being.

Reformer Pilates

Reformer Pilates is a dynamic, full-body workout that combines strength, flexibility, and core stability through the use of a specialized piece of equipment called the reformer. Unlike traditional mat Pilates, the reformer uses springs, pulleys, and a sliding carriage to create resistance, making it an excellent way to tone muscles, improve posture, and increase range of motion. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced practitioner, reformer Pilates offers a low-impact yet challenging exercise that can be tailored to all fitness levels, enhancing both body and mind.

“I've known Kelly for about 6 years now and have been training with her at the gym for just over five. I also do a weekly pilates group which she does in the common lounge where I live. I'm now 71 and she's geared all my exercise to suit me and my arthritis. She's done the same for all my friends at Parkside Court. She's friendly, professional and makes working out something I look forward to. I can't say that for other places I've been before meeting Kelly.” - Chris

Working on the reformers can also target and tone specific areas of your body very efficiently.

  • The ideal practice of Pilates is 3 times per week. However, taking into consideration finance, stress levels and burn out, we suggest starting with one session a week and adding more sessions when you can.
